I think the future you're predicting is fairly unlikely to actually come about, but I do agree with your basic point.

Though for the record, I'm not one of those people who believes we ought to turn away Muslim refugees. The religion, in all but the most loose and open-minded forms, disgusts me and frightens me. But I don't believe in refusing to help desperate people who, to the best of anyone's knowledge, have not themselves ever done anything against us.
