I have and act on my agency, but I'm naturally a very timid person so it can take a while to get me psyched up enough to do or say the things I want to do. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being the type of person who is more comfortable being a follower, being passive, being timid, not being a go-getter. THAT right there is patriarchy: the idea that A-Type personalities are best, that being "beta" is wrong because it's "womanly".

Fuck that. There are aggressive women and passive men. There are passive women and aggressive men. Just because society values one over the other doesn't mean that the ones who are naturally as society wants them are brainwashed or weak.

I am a passive woman. I'm more comfortable with other people making choices for me, unless they're super important. I can take charge and I speak my mind, but it makes me uncomfortable. And that's okay.
