Well, it's hard for me to comment on these going-ons without knowing jack the characters and fandom :) Since you made a reference to Supernatural... wasn't Castiel that exact random character who came in and screwed up the then-juggernaut, Wincest? I don't think that wank has entirely died down, even to this day, lol.

I guess I don't really understand the need to be 'more canon' than your rival pair when in fact neither of you is canon. If I had to rely on creators pandering to me in order to ship things, I'd never get anywhere.

Actually, now that we're talking about this, I suddenly recall this lolarious-looking secret posted earlier this year. It's the first one in this post: https://fandomsecrets.dreamwidth.org/1271777.html?thread=858227425. In the thread lots of people were speculating that this was about Free, so... which would you say is which pairing in this? Is this salty OP one of yours or one of theirs? ;)

Ergghhh I' just online real quick but RE that secret: I dunno, it definitely sounds like Free!, but for the life of me I can't figure out who it could be about. I would say the secret maker is a Rin/Haru shipper who is unhappy about Sou/Rin, but...Rin/Haru isn't exactly a "fluffy" ship?? I dunno.
