Sadness fucked everything up because Joy was not allowing any other emotion but herself to dominate 24/7, when Riley NEEDED Sadness.

Yeah, thanks, I got that. I still disliked the character for 60% of the time, because as much as Riley needed Sadness, there's still a fucking time and place for crying.

The point of the movie is that Sadness is a necessary emotion and bottling it up does no good. That doesn't mean Sadness didn't fuck up by tainting other memories and taking control at a terrible time.
