Yeah, she was saying what she's said all along--Snape was a fucked up person who was capable of good *gasp* HE WAS COMPLICATED AND GREY OHHHH NOOOZZZZZZ She wasn't "defending" him, she was saying what she's said all along, and it goes along with exactly how she wrote him.
