1. You really shouldn't say "white people" when you actually mean "everyone who isn't black". By your logic, black people and only black people are the only ones allowed to listen to most modern popular music genres. (Blues, R&B, jazz, rap, hip-hop, rock, and by extension, metal, which got its start as an off-shoot of rock. Ironic, since metal fandom has a reputation for being violently racist!)

2. You do not understand what cultural appropriation is. Stop contributing to the watering down of that term. Shit like this is why when ACTUAL cultural appropriation rears its ugly head, people are less likely to take it seriously as the affront that it is.

3. The Beastie Boys are awesome, your argument is invalid.

4. This secret is dumb.

5. This secret is really, really dumb.

(agreeing with you)

Yeah, metal was basically developed by Jimi Hendrix and some British guys. So if you're not African-American nor British, you don't get to even listen to it, because that's an important distinction.

I'm going to go listen to some gypsy music now, but you don't get to unless you're Andalusian.

If you're German, you have to learn to be happy with Oom Pah Pah. Wait, I know what you're saying, what about Kraftwerk? Nope, they appropriated the music of robots. What about David Hasselhoff? American, doesn't count. I guess if you're German-American it's OK.

Oh, wait, that's not how this works. That's not how any of this works.

Only Norwegians are allowed to listen to black metal. If you aren't Norwegian you're appropriating scum!

Alongside Kraftwerk and Oom Pah Pah, I thought it was funny. But then, I consider all of those kind of laughable.
