I think that response from the fandom is a lot more justified for Ireland than Portugal, tbh

The more Irish fans whined the more "crybaby" became justified. Most countries have had rough history and badass people. Yours is not special in hardassness. England, France, Latvia, Italy, Ukraine, Russia, China, Poland are depicted as crybabies, Ireland is not any manlier than them for it to be more absurd.
