If you converted to a pagan religion after being raised Christian or one/both of your parents did, then yeah, you're probably culturally Christian if not religiously Christian.

I am atheist from birth, as are both of my parents. As are two of my friends and their parents - all of whom (say it with me so maybe it'll stick) CELEBRATE THANKSGIVING!

Not that I agree with this "culturally Christian" concept you're going with anyway.

ETA: I'm beginning to get the impression that there are two people in this thread who are arguing similar viewpoints, but one of you is being a douche nozzle and the other is not.

If this is true, and if you are in fact the anon who is not being a douche nozzle, then please disregard my snide tone in the above comment. My point stands, but the tone of it was not intended for you.

"YOU AREN'T WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE BECAUSE I SAY SO AND I WANT TO BE RIGHT."

Keeeep trollin'.

Lol, yeah, this is kind of what I thought too. I'm trying not to take it too personally, though, because I don't think the person means to be a jerk. They seem to be looking at Christianity sort of like sexism or racism, as a part of the environment that is absorbed and unwittingly perpetuated by non-Christians.

This is not a completely unreasonable concept. It's just that at a certain point, most popular concepts perpetuate themselves, and most events build up their own identity that is more crowd/industry-defined than defined by the religion from which the event sprang.
