I have two ideas for HP-fusion "character turned into a child" fics that pretty much follow the same premise but have different emotional beats because they're very different fandoms, and I can't decide which I want to write:

Leverage: Eliot made pint-sized has to live as Nate's kid until they figure out how to make him big again, but it all works out because it helps with a con at a school (where Eliot also takes down a bully). Emotional arc: Nate filling the role of parent to young child again; Eliot has struggles with grownup emotions but only a kid's capacity to handle them. And Sophie is a pretty poor example of a witch ("If I were any good at it I wouldn't be a grifter and thief, would I?!")s

Sherlock: Things aren't so great with John and Sherlock, and when John wakes up a preteen, it ends up being a lesson in both of thrm learning to trust each other again and learning to have fun/slow down. And it helps them solve a case at a school. Also: Mrs. Hudson totally did it, much to Lestrade's chagrin.

Leverage. I vote Leverage.

That's probably the more developed idea, and certainly the canon I'm more familiar with. I've just had this mental image of Young John as the Love Actually kid being simultaneously amused and annoyed at how amused he is by watching Lestrade's blow bubbles in his milk (because Lestrade's would totally be the fun dad figure trying to hold Mrs. Hudson's plan together with minimal damage) for a long time.
