Losing a large amount of weight can be difficult on the body, and some people look drastically different when skinny. Maybe he's just one of those people who look better with extra weight. (Though that's subjective, but hey.)

As someone who isn't overtly familiar with Penn, it's just weird to see him like this because it's a major change. It would take some adjusting.
