(Anonymous) 2008-02-23 02:02 am (UTC)(link)The art is one of the artist's sketches, but it's not official comic art (I don't think). From the bit that I read in the preview, and some interviews with the writer and the artist, I think they both have a semi-romantic Doctor/Martha slant, which also kind of upsets me. I was hoping to avoid teh romance.
But I haven't read the whole comic yet. It might be good!

Adding to (I typed the first part when running out the door!). I think Martha would be more likely to be openly peeved with Rose than Rose would be Martha, but she did drop the snark for the most part after she found out what happened to Rose in Utopia. I would say yeah that would be a nice spite to all the Rose-haters, but if Martha were at all antagonistic to Rose they'd somehow reason it was totally okay (although it wouldn't be if Rose did it) and Martha is still so much more awesome. Or they'd say the writers are all Rosefen and were trying to glorify Rose/put down Martha as they have done before. Some of the fandom has a somewhat blind adoration of Martha (she really can do no wrong) and sometimes it comes across simply because she's not Rose. Because of that, I'd rather they just get along from the get-go because I like them both and I think it best if they did.

Then again, it could have been the fact that I was about to be the same age as the characters when OotP was released (I turned 15 in August of 2003) that helped me connect to them so much more in that book.
