Ada was a nice change from all the damsels in distress who needed saving every 5 minutes. Oh noes, how dare she save and outsmart the male lead once in a while. The whole point is that she had the balls to double-cross Wesker. ;) I love him and Leon as well (moar Billy too plz), but I'm sick of senseless female character bashing in this fandom.

And what's all this about tits? She's like...a B cup at the most. She doesn't even show cleavage in the game. Funny how she gets singled out when a much bustier Jill got paraded around in a tube top and miniskirt long before RE 4. Speaking of which, is that the only RE game you've played? Sure sounds like it.

Wrong on that one, tiger, I've played them all. And what damsels in distress are you talking about? Jill does nothing but get rescued, sure, but how about Claire and Rebecca (in 0, anyway)?

And at least Jill's skirt was SHORT. I can't think of a single reason why Ms. Wong needs a prom dress for her super secret mission except for eye candy purposes.

I can't think of a single woman who would choose to fight zombies in a tube top and miniskirt, any more than they would do so in a dress with a high side slit. But then again, this is RE we're talking about. Female eye candy isn't some kind of novel feature. Why else would there be skimpy alternate costumes, panty shots, huge boobs, etc? If you're going to complain about marketed sex appeal, you might as well address the series in its entirety. Hence, why I said it sounded like you only played RE 4.

Btw, A modified qipao =/= prom dress. I think it was pretty obvious that they were paying homage to Ada's Chinese ancestry. Of course it's not practical - but then again, were you expecting realism in a survival horror video game? At least Ada gets an actual combat uniform once you beat the game.

Given your response to my post, your main gripe seems to be about appearances rather than the characterization. I would think that the role Ada fulfills in the games is far more important than what she wears, especially when no one would recognize her in some remote Spanish village. There was Leon, but she intended to reveal herself to him anyway (flashy red dress or not).
