FF games were my first, too, and I credit them for getting me into the genre... but I hate the way RPGs have become steretyped by the FF series and the way other gamers assume that if you're an RPG fan you MUST be batty about FF (and then there's all the gamer elitism about how JRPG fans don't actually count as gamers, but that's a whole 'nother can of peas).

I also hate what the FF series has become. Which the exception of X-2, my love for that game makes no sense I try to ignore everything after FFIX. The series stopped innovating loooong ago. It's just beating the graphical dead horse (and the Compilation horse) now.
