Saying "I lied" when they mean "I was mistaken." It's not a lie if you think it's true when you say it. Although the cynical part of me suspects people who say that are more likely to treat all incorrect statements from others as if they really are lies.

Except it's not a joke when they say it? It's always a matter-of-fact remark. If it is meant to be a joke, it's an annoying one with bad delivery.
