Maybe it's just supposed to be kind of sad and awkward. Because no, they aren't best friends, but I think they would call each other friends (and, okay, on Steve's side, maybe a little bit of that would be from the desire not to hurt Tony's feelings).

On the other hand, it's a trailer and there's only so much we get to see.
