Ugh, this. And then she fishes for compliments tells her love interest that she's insecure because she's "not beautiful" and he always says of course she's beautiful, she's just not beautiful like all those other beautiful girls who all look the same, for example her breasts are small and cute instead of huge and she has a cool short pixie cut instead of a teased blond mass and altogether makes her sound much more like someone your average mainstream-taste-sharing reader would find very pretty.
