Random, but what makes something not a secret? I mean, there are a lot of secrets that are posted that are popular opinions. I've felt like the n!s the last couple of days have been equal to plenty of things that get posted. What is the criteria used?

It tends to be wording, or so I've noticed. Not so much content.

ie "I think Elijah was the worst choice for Frodo." as opposed to a definitive "Elijah is the worst choice for Frodo."

Always add "I..." statements. "I think" "I hate" "I wish".

If it's phrased as if it's a fact, it gets thrown in NS, even if it's not a fact. I'm not sure why Case chose that particular line in the sand.
