From them comparing the pure purity of a girl they care about to a dirty, dirty prostitute? It's not really hard. Maybe op means totally well but so many other people share the opinion that like I said, I hope they mean as well as they could possibly mean but I wouldn't be surprised if they held that opinion.

But OP never says that prostitutes are the ones who are dirty, the act of having sex with them is, and in the end the boys are dirty too.

*shrug* If you insist, I'm not gonna change your mind. But this secret reads so much like other anti sex worker things I've read, especially the portion about how having sex with a prostitute makes someone else dirty too because the implicit meaning is their dirtiness rubs off on you. The vibe I get from this secret is exactly the same as those people. If op didn't mean it that way then maybe they didn't, but it sure reads like that to me as someone very familiar with anti-sex worker rhetoric

Are you familiar with anime anime fandoms? Because a lot of anime fans truly believe that a character having sex with someone other than the love of their lives = SLUT.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-11 12:12 am (UTC)(link)
I don't see how that's contradicting the fact that they think prostitutes, whose job it is to have sex with people who are not the love of their lives, are dirty sluts

(Anonymous) 2015-12-11 12:14 am (UTC)(link)
Dude. It sounds like you have some person issues to work out. You are the only person here calling prostitutes dirty sluts.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-11 12:15 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't said anything of the sort. I've heard so much anti-sex worker rhetoric that whenever I see it, especially certain key words and phrases and ideas, it stands out to me. I'm not saying this is what I think, obviously. I'm saying these ideas are common and horrible, especially in the US

SA

And as I keep on repeating, maybe op did not mean that but they certainly sounded like the people who *do* mean that, coming from someone who has heard a lot of it. So if they don't mean what I think they mean, they should be aware of how they come off, and how associating the word dirty with the idea of fucking prostitutes makes them *sound* like the people you keep saying they aren't.

And you need to learn not to read into people's silly secrets personal issues you are obviously dealing with.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-11 01:10 am (UTC)(link)
It's a little hypocritical of you to say I'm reading into op's secret for things you don't see, then read into my comments and insist I have personal issues which I don't have. Is it that hard to believe you can have a dislike of anti-sex worker rhetoric as a principle without being a sex worker or being surrounded by them in your personal life?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-11 12:04 am (UTC)(link)
THEY NEVER CALLED PROSTITUTES DIRTY! They said having sex with a prostitute feels dirty to them. This could easily mean it feels dirty (a synonym for wrong in this context) because prostitutes may be forced into the sex trade.

Or they feel it is dirty because OP thinks that sex should be accompanied with meaningful relationships.
