Good to know.

I'd read a lot more bagginshield if the tropes let Bilbo be an adult male instead of a romance-novel weak and helpless girl. That also happens to Kili and Ori, and to Tauriel especially when paired with Thranduil. My squick: most of romance after (but not including) Austen.

This is one of my pet peeves! This is so not Bilbo, or any of them really. I really don't understand why people have to change characters to fit this dynamic. :(
