Yeah, those do look rather OTT. Do you have any examples of casual outfits? I used to have a friend who was into this, but she didn't have the time/money to go that far with it. I always thought she looked great, anyway.

Yes, I do! One of my favorites lolitas wears a lot of lovely outfits. This lovely lady wears some really nice outfits, too, though some of them toe the line between OTT and casual (same thing could be said for this lolita, but I honestly like both their OTT and casual outfits). Fanny Rosie also wears lolita pretty casually.

I'm sorry to hear your friend can't participate in the community anymore! It's really unfortunate how expensive lolita items can be, even when they're second-hand.
