OP there's nothing wrong with liking what you enjoy, so long as you're not hurting anyone. And random strangers on the internet like AYRT are certainly not being hurt or even remotely affected by you enjoying one kind of medium over another.

if it's a question of *wanting* to watch stuff you find it hard to get into, find a friend who really loves show X and ask them to watch it with you, carve out a weekend for some serious marathoning

having a buddy helps not rely on your own sometimes-lacking motivation, and someone else's excitement can help you get hooked on things!

also, have you tried different genres? it might be that some procedural conventions or other common genre things put you off
