I should not be excited for this, I don't want to be excited for this because I love Independence Day and this can only disappoint me but good god. I want it. I want it so bad.

Although I will agree that no Will Smith is highly upsetting.

I can only imagine that this will actually be a good thing. If they're going to do a sequel the least they can do is have a fresh story.

I wanna be excited for this but not only they killed Will Smith's character, they're focusing on the guy who's Thor's brother who I find really boring. :(

Look, I knew that the plot summary for the sequel proposed by Grantland ages ago would never come true (in which Michael B. Jordan plays Will Smith's son and Miles Teller is Jeff Goldblum's son, and also they're dating), but since that was literally the only thing I read about the movie when it was first announced and had no idea who was going to be in this, I always sort of hoped.
