I thought it might have been HarshlyCritical, but he was just exasperated with the ineffectual choices and felt they should take a couple years off to make a deeper and better game, and he's not terribly ragey anyway. I did skip around on random people's videos to see their reactions, so it must have been one of them.

Video Games Awesome just stops playing by the second-to-last episode. They get curious how badly the player has to fail before Valar Morghuliss happens.

Ha, probably not long, and they make sure you fail no matter what.

Well, yes and no. A lot of the things are timed, like the pit fight. Sometimes the opponent just sort of...backs off and changes tactics if you ignore the button prompts.

I was still thinking more of the unavoidable ending than fights or anything else. They just can't let you finagle your way out of that one.

Well, yes.
In my playthrough, I decided to ambush Ludd and his son or whatever at dinner and everyone died.

So that was obviously the wrong choice.

So the scene re-started from a previous spot.

BUT I was super pissed that the story didn't continue with that group of Forrester's dead. I still had Asher and Mira and Garred, it would have been interesting if, yaknow, my choice had consequences. But nope!

Other Telltale games were pretty good at giving the illusion of choice, but GoT was just bad at it.
