a few years ago, I think most people would have agreed with you. everyone I knew fucking hated rickrolling a while back and for a while, I rarely saw it done. Its recent massive resurgence over the past couple of years is very confusing to me

I've always liked it actually. It's entirely the opposite of a mean-spirited troll.

I actually kinda wish a movie theater would play this (or maybe the Jurassic Park theme) with a Star Wars opening-crawl-style "Please Silence your Phones" message before the new Force Awakens movie. It would be hilarious.
