Honest question: if you want the characters to look just like they do in canon, why not look at screencaps or re-watch scenes, instead of seeking art?

DA, but I assume it's for the pairings and to see the characters do things they didn't in canon.

I can see both points though. It's fun to see different styles but some fanart looks nothing like the characters.

This is completely off-topic, but is your username a fandom thing? I'm curious.

... isn't the answer pretty obvious, though? Why do people ever seek out fanart or fanfic? They're looking for something like canon, that doesn't appear in canon.
