Sadly, I see where the OP is coming from. It may be from a minority, but they're a vocal minority. Like people thinking adult fanfic writers/fanartists should not still ship teenagers, even if the person writing/drawing was a teenager themselves when they started shipping said pairing.

According to those people, it's still pedophilia, even if you've aged the characters up well beyond legal age in any part of the world. Heck, one fairly popular fanartist in one of my fandoms got a piece of art pulled from deviantart for depicting a character that is commonly aged up with her shirt gaping a bit more than strictly necessary.

So yeah, they're out there.
