Queerbaiting huh? That sucks. I feel like if anyone could handle the homophobic backlash it would be Disney.

DA - I think the anon might mean the writers of the show. There was a LOT of it with Jack and Eric in Boy Meets World and some with Sean and Corey that has carried over to the new show. Which is unfortunate, but I still have a little bit of hope.

Queerbaiting doesn't exist in America. In Japan, maybe but all these OH NO, I WAS ~BAITED~ was just people seeing romance in typical friendship.

Or knowing fans, two characters sharing two seconds together. After all, just look at Clint/Coulson. Can you really say anyone was baited with a 40 second phone call?

A lot of what's called queerbaiting isn't really queerbaiting (looking at you, Steve/Bucky), but queerbaiting does exist. Shows that make tons of jokes/comments about two males being a couple but then won't actually do it? Yeah that's queerbaiting.

Do you watch this show though? Other characters make fun of Corey and Shawn for being "boyfriends". I don't know what Clint/Coulson is so I can't really judge that.
