It's funny, but I'm having much more trouble deciding what I want for Christmas than I am finding gifts for my family.

My parents give me a certain amount of money, and I pic all my own gifts off Amazon in October every year, and then stay off the site till Christmas. That way my crappy memory has forgotten what I picked out. Mom likes to pic out one thing for me that I 100% don't know I'm getting. It's worked out pretty good for us for the past several years. Saves Mom and Dad a lot of frustration.

I usually just get gift cards for everyone.

I always have trouble deciding what I want, partly because I go out and get things for myself and partly because I'm an indecisive shit at times. Luckily I am at a stage in life where a gift of money or gift cards does not seem impersonal and I appreciate it more because the giver is subtly acknowledging "I don't really know what you want, so I'm giving you a present that leaves the details up to you".
