I was going say something to the effect of "maybe not," but, ugh, you are probably right. Just imagining how well he'd go over in the south, where babyfaces like him would be celebrated and cheered... if his heritage and religion were more widely known, I think he'd get heat unrelated to the character he's playing.

This secret is making the wait til Wednesday even harder. I need Sami back NOW.

The secret was luckily timed, wasn't it? The forecast next week is for the return of the human sunbeam! And I suppose we might find out how people will respond once he's on the main roster--I know I'll be hoping for the best but fearing the worst (because people may suck, but Sami is fantastic).

I keep hoping that they'll push Sami up to the main roster immediately so when I go to Raw on the 4th he'll be there. It's not a strong hope, but it's a there. Alternatively, NXT should come back to town soon, ideally while he's NXT champ again.
