It would especially be interesting to see how the characters reacted to becoming suddenly considered far more or less attractive, not expecting the different levels of attention.

Agreed. I'm not saying people who are swapped into cis-female bodies should keep their beards or people who are swapped into cis-male bodies should keep their hourglass figures but keeping traits that are considered to be generally non-sex specific like height or thin wrists or broad shoulders or square jaws or proportion of muscle would be way more interesting
