I'm not interested in answering this question, but just commenting to say that I had to look up all of those words D:

Hehe it's okay. I don't know if any of the words I would use are anymore universal. I think of both people doing undergraduate and postgraduate courses as being 'in university' since they usually share a building, and this is my first time hearing of both vocational schools (sounds like a really fancy place to get a diploma?) and middle school. Apparently in the UK, middle school is for kids between 9 and 13 years old, and in the US it's for kids between 13 and 15? What??? In Malaysia you were in primary school until you were 12, and then you were in secondary school until you were 17. But I guess you do refer to kids between the ages of 13 and 15 as being in 'lower secondary'. It's still the same school though.

DA

I'm pretty sure the UK and the US have the same age range for middle school (also called intermediate school). When I was in middle school, I was between 10/11-13 (it can consist of 3 or 4 grade levels, depending on your state or school). High school usually is between the ages of 14-18 (four grade levels). At least in my part of the US.
