IKR. I don't WANT to judge, but I can't understand being in Disney fandom any more than I can understand being in the fandom for Thomas the Tank Engine.

I could understand it more for Thomas the Tank Engine, if it's about the books. The adult themes are already there.

Most Disney fans I know don't really care about the original fairy tales for added depth, which I can see as appeal. But they like the kiddie simplicity just fine.

Do you feel the same way about being in a fandom for stuff like Steven Universe or whatever? Because frankly that's not any more 'adult' than a Disney film.

Kinda? MLP, too. I haven't watched more than five minutes total of either of them, so the 'sure, okay...' isn't as strong with them.

What about comic books? Doctor Who? Harry Potter? All of those things were, at the very least originally aimed at kids and families.
