Ciabatta Roll recipe!

I said I was going to make some ciabatta rolls and I did! I used this recipe and it tunred out really well. http://www.kingarthurflour.com/blog/2012/05/11/ciabatta-rolls-more-crust-more-filling/

My only addition would be that the crust is very hard when first out of the oven. After a while it turns softer. We ate them when they were fairly crunchy and they taste fine.

For as much as I adore baking, I've never made bread! It looks really fun, though, and I just love bread.

I'll give this a try next time I'm in the mood to bake. Last time I made lemon-rosemary zucchini bread that was really good, but it looked like a giant oatmeal cookie.

Did you use your kitchenaid to mix this? I feel that I don't have the right mixer (I just have an electric mixer). Any thoughts on the prep work?

I used my kitchenaid, yeah. But I think an electric mixer might work, but the dough will probably get too thick. The guy suggests you mix it with a wooden spoon. It will need a lot of upper body strenght! The biggest thing is to make the overnight starter.

And definitely oil your hands. This dough will be VERY sticky (doesn't need actual kneading).
