He was injured, so I could buy that bit. But the mental stuff and telekinesis...Luke had trouble lifting up a rock a few inches. He needed years of training with Yoda before he could do the mind trick. I had heard that theory about her being mindwiped and maybe already having had training. I'd like that, it would make sense.

Did she actually say she hadn't? I don't remember that. I assumed she did; she certainly knows a lot about ships and is comfortable with them, as well as says, "We've got one" (a pilot).

Oh, no, I didn't make myself clear there. It was more of a comparison. I was comparing using a lightsaber to flying. The Force can help you with it, (and it's hinted that it does when she's flying) but like you said: she already knew how to fly. IMO the same goes for lightsabers. The Force can help you, but it can't teach you how to duel. So there could be something to the theory she already knew how.

Anyway, this was the only real thing that bugged me, and we could still get an explanation for it, so it's not that bad. And I do like the characters and want to get to know them better.

Well, Yoda has that scene in Empire where he tells Luke the reason he can't move the rock is because he doesn't believe. In that moment, Rey believed and tried to“tune in" to the force, so I could see that making her stronger. Plus, she's already used to handling weapons, as we see her kick ass with her staff early in the film. While a lightsaber is certainly different, Finn used it briefly too, and was able to hit Kylo. If Finn can harm Kylo Ren a bit with it, it isn't too surprising for me to think that Rey could, given her previous experience with melee weapons, her force sensitivity, her belief in the force, her drive to beat Kylo, Kylo's wounds, etc.

It was a bit rushed, but given her desperation in that scene I think having an incentive to defeat Kylo helped too.
