Dragon Age: Origins is the worst Dragon Age game, by far (to the point where I genuinely hated playing it). Also, DA2 is my favourite (since it has the best characters).

Don't agree, but also don't think you are some heathen for having this opinion. Lots of Dragon Age fans get too bent out of shape about DA2. IMO it was a perfectly fine game and I enjoyed it loads more on my replay with the DLC.

DAO is the one most like its forebears, Baldur's Gate and Neverwinter Nights. Which should tell you something.

Eh, I think DA:O is the best of the series for a lot of reasons.

For one, it's the only of the three that doesn't force you to slaughter an army of random people along your quest. I think Hawke kills more people just walking through Lowtown at night than the Warden does the entire fucking game.

And it handles the mage/templar situation with a hell of a lot more subtlety and class than either DA2 or DA:I (no endless armies of mad blood mages, and the templars aren't cackling slaver stereotypes).

Plus the quests in DA:O actually have, like, writing, which is about a million times more effort than they put into DA:I's questlines.

ia that DA2 has the best characters overall, though. DA:Os companions where pretty lackluster and I really only ended up like Dorian in DA:I.

Da2 is my fave!! :D

DAI aid my least fave though :( because it's too long and I'm bored with it already. I just don't care about whatever struggle I'm facing :(
