Benedict Cumberbatch is not a good actor, but he's not a terrible actor either. He's just mediocre.

Also, the people who mock him (or any other actor/actress) because of the way he looks are immature jackasses.

I can accept this. I don't think he's a bad actor, either. Serviceable, perhaps? (But then, I think he's cute, so obviously my judgement is "just plain wrong.")

I wouldn't even call him mediocre, honestly. It's just that his role as Sherlock and his fanbase means he's waaaaaaaay overhyped. He's a serviceable actor with an extraordinary voice.
