Sims is one of the most bizarre games ever to me because what I do in Sims mostly amounts to "creating characters, playing with fashion and decorating". And I have at times wasted almost whole days doing just that. I don't know why it's so addicting, but Sims is dangerous.

I know.

When I had my first job and wound up spending a bunch of my paychecks to get expansion packs, I remember thinking that the game should have a surgeon general warning on it.

Haha, that would be a good call. Not only is it addicting, it is also the most expensive game ever (if you want the expansion packs, and if you play Sims...lets be honest, you probably do).

I gave up on expansion packs for Sims after the first game (which I totes had them all for) and only got a couple for Sims 3 as presents.

Oh but I don't have as much trouble now with Sims 3. I got back into late, when all the expansion packs had been made and learned a neat trick. Buy the last, torrent the rest.

The last one had a thing on it that made it so you had to have the disc. (and the college one might've too.)

Huh, I didn't know about that.

I mean, I'm not going to torrent them anyway, I haven't even installed the game on my current computer, but given how ridiculously expensive these expansions are (and given that there are over ten of them for S3) I wouldn't blame someone for wanting to try it.

You could probably spend $600 on just Sims, if you got all the expansions at full price. (Maybe even more?) That's just...insane.

I disagree, the price for train simulator and all its expansions is ridiculous!
