Re: first world problems

I'm spending Christmas out of town,

My father and I are planning to give each other money and then go shopping together, and since I'm spending Christmas out of town, I decided I'd mail him a nice Christmas card with the money in it. I thought it would be nice for something to arrive right on Christmas Eve for him to open.

Except I forgot to put postage on the card. :(

It will probably just get sent back to me, but I'm freaking out that it will somehow get lost or thrown away completely, and then I'll be out a hundred dollars. (I know, I know, stupid to put $100 cash in the mail.) Fuck my life.

I'm sorry, but yeah, don't mail cash. It's too tempting a target for theft.

Yeah, all my relatives mail cash whenever there's a gift to send, and no one has ever had their post stolen, so I didn't really think much of it at the time. In fact, I generally find it strange that others are so worried about doing it. But then, my relatives remember the fucking stamp, so that helps. :/
