So, I was reading some of the ideas in the thread yesterday I was thinking, Say someone was making a dating game where all the options were sub guys, but they had to be a variety of different ones.

What could you guys come up with for options?

Mal Reynolds from FIrefly is definitely a subbie who takes up his ass.

Obviously there needs to be an assertive dude who's secretly a sub in bed, but otherwise I've got nothing.

I'll leave the rest to f!s' resident fujoshi.

A lot of the traditional archetypes work just fine as subs. Cute and innocent? He'll let you guide him. Stylish and suave? He'll attend to your comfort and let you tell him how best to please you. Brave protector? You're his idol and his inspiration; of course you're in charge.

Well, I think you have like 2 big things to go on: body type/looks and kinks.

I mean, some people like their subby guys to look stereotypically subby, maybe sort of boyish/thin - but others find it hot when it's basically dudes who look all manly but still submissive.

Kink-wise you could vary for those who like pain, or those who are more into bondage, or sensual stuff, or crossdressing, maybe even stuff like puppy play etc.

This. "Submissive" can mean so many different kinds of things. So you've got a painslut, a discipline sub, a bondage-only boy, a GFD guy, and a few more specific fetishes. The game is figuring out which ones you're most compatible with.

Foe Yay/Rival guy. You and him start out rivals in something and your animosity slowly turns to attraction.

Maybe mildly tsundere but not in the OTT violent psycho way but the type who snarks at you, and tries to hide his attraction and the fact that he's impressed by you but he's not always good at it.

This plus him being a sub guy makes for an interesting and unique character.

Wow do I like this description. Anyone got recs for this type of character? Hopefully of original fiction/film media, but I guess I'm open to fics too.

Well I'm kind of tempted to try and write a story about this whole idea.

I like the "bodyguard" type -- big, muscly, protective dude who defers to the one he protects.

The assertive guy who is submissive in bed, the shy submissive, the experienced submissive, the caring and protective submissive who wants to take care of you, the submissive guy who is a boss in real life, the inexperienced submissive, the physically strong submissive who could overpower you if he wanted to but chooses not to, the bad boy submissive who needs someone to tell him to stop, the submissive guy who needs praise and approval and just wants to please you, the submissive guy who is your equal outside the bedroom and who you disagree with and argue with on everything but who follows your lead completely in bed, the strong willed submissive who can only sub for someone more strong willed than he is and who argues with you until you make him stop.

Yes, I've thought a lot about this. Submissive guys are the best.
