Oh, you wanted reasons. Like I said about watching Glee (while I was in high school), the show felt like it was written with two dartboards- one with character names, one with emotions. Whatever results they got were how whoever was feeling that episode, regardless of how much sense it made. And having to shoehorn storylines to utilize certain songs rather than writing the story and choosing songs that fit thematically didn't help. (Compare Nashville (I've only seen through season 2) but I always thought they did a much better job about picking songs to fit the story rather than writing the story to fit the songs.)

As for American Horror Story, it's been super popular with my friends from college, but everything I've seen about it (except Evan Peters, whom I've had a crush on since 2004) makes me think it's terrible. especially all the rape. That just doesn't appeal to me at all.
