Re: Popular things you hate.

fine, then I'll say it. Star Wars.

I loathe it with every fibre of my being.

Reasons? well, I used to be a fan. cosplayed, wrote fanfic, piled on the merchandise, you name it. But fandom. Fandom. Fandom killed Star Wars for me. Fandom constantly shitting on me for liking what I liked. Fandom jizzing over every single prequel movie that came out and then, a few years later, jumping on the hater bandwagon just so they could get geek cred because everybody else said the prequels sucked and they hated them, so therefore even if you secretly love one or all of them you had to sycophantically join the tirade against Lucas. And then, on top of all of that, mainstream geek culture beating every last quote and reference into the fucking ground worse than Monty Python's Holy Grail.

I'm pretty much done with it. All of it. This week has been a double-edged hell of the two things I hate the most in the world: Star Wars and Christmas. /flips fedora
