He was in the running for Finn. He's been on Breaking Bad and Fargo most recently both where he gave great performances.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-22 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Why do you think he would have been better in the role?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-22 11:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Because I think he's a better actor.

(Anonymous) 2015-12-22 11:51 pm (UTC)(link)
In what regard?

(Anonymous) 2015-12-22 11:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you want an essay? Watch Fargo and Breaking Bad.

I'm interested in what you have to say.

I... enjoyed his performances elsewhere? I like him as an actor? I think he's good at playing the unremarkable 'average joe' thrust into something dangerous?

Based on what I've seen from both actors (Attack on the Block vs Breaking Bad/Fargo), Plemons is the better actor.

How so? In what regards? What does he do better than Boyega?

He does white better. Duh.

Oh wait. And Paul. And Battleship. He's definitely been in more movies.

And 'The Master'.

Acting matters when it comes to Star Wars? Oh.

Hayden Christensen's terrible acting skills is one of the reasons why people hate so much the prequels.

I don't think the acting in New Hope is anything to write home about either, but Star Wars isn't my sacred cow, so...

I think Hayden Christiansen was terrible but if his terrible acting was the only problem with the prequels, no one would have cared. It was that everything about them was terrible and he didn't have the charm to redeem them.

Like a lot of the dialogue in New Hope is bad, but the actors sell it, in particular Harrison Ford. Certainly not brilliant, but enough the flaws are basically invisible.

Yeah, people praise Ewan McGragor's performance, but still loathe the prequels.
