Oh yeah, NMH has some really devastating songs. I find them hard to listen to at times.

I agree on Tom Waits as well. I think 'Kentucky Avenue' and 'Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis' are among his most powerful, heartwrenching songs.
