OP is not stopping anybody from reading what they want to read. Of course if they want to stay in their rut, that's their choice. That doesn't mean that other people can't have an opinion about it. OP is just saying that refusing to read anything outside a narrow range of material--because something new is "too much of a risk"--is more than a little bit sad.

I agree with them.
