2. Also the assumption that even MENTIONING the word "Jesus" comes with an intent to convert is a huge part of the D: behind the secret.

And it's not that bad. Just try it. People usually aren't that judgmental, promise. :) And if they are just for mentioning Jesus, they're not really worth it. And, yes, this is the "OP Anonymous". Just wanted to clarify.

Did you miss the comparison to fandom? Because that's the thing--when you have a fandom, you usually talk about it with your friends. My roomies are crazy into DeathNote, I'm mad in love with Doctor Who. We gab at each other about our fandoms, not with the intention to convince them to watch it, but just because you're excited about it.

When you have faith, it tends to be a big part of your life. That doesn't mean you're trying to "preach" or "convert" people. It just means that it really sucks feeling like you have to censor yourself all the time.

And I wasn't saying that she (??) or anyone that agreed was trying to convert people, really, but that was just an example I threw out (and the OP already answered me on that). I just wanted to know just want she felt like she couldn't say.
