The girl who inspired the song "The Girl From Ipanema" not only got no royalties, but the copyright holders (the sons of the people who composed the song) actually tried to sue her when she named her business after the song.

Oh I don't know, women were supposed to be happy with being an unpaid "muse" if we happened to inspire art or music for the longest time. Don't see why he can't be hers.

I heard he did try to get some money after one of her albums sold a ton of copies. He, too, believed he was entitled to compensation. I like to believe that this latest album is a continued finger in his general direction.
