I expect they will be. House to myself tomorrow and right now I'm relaxing with a fabulously delicious gin & tonic. However, I'm actually sad I didn't get to see the children in my family. They live across the country and I've only seen the older one twice. The younger one wasn't born yet. They enjoyed our gifts, which is wonderful, but it's not really the same as being a part of their life.

Oh, yeah I get that. I see my cousin's kids once maybe twice a year and I sometimes regret that. Tonight was with my brother's girlfriend's son and I don't know him that well. I think part of the problem is that I'm ridiculously single and happily so. I like quiet evenings and doing what I want when I want it. So an entire night rearranged around a loud child, no matter how nice he is,...When the child is calmer/older or when there are more people around to carry the load it's easier.
