I would approach this one or two ways.

1) Read everything. Even things you might disagree with. Sometimes it's easier to figure out what you are not than what you are.

2) Go to a meet up or a volunteer group. Something that involves actions that don't let you focus entirely on yourself (ex. sorting food looking for expiration dates or a faster paced hike). It might make you less self conscious when you do talk to other people.
