You can guard someone through those means, if you get creative about it. You're the queen or king who is the protector of a prisoner of war the rest of the land wants dead. You're a mob boss with a favorite assistant who you won't tolerate being harmed. You're the experienced criminal leading the newbie through the ropes who would die without you. Puppy play where you "own" the "puppy" who turns out to be a werewolf or something. Creativity bro

I agree with you that creativity can solve many problems, but this anon's fantasy seems to have a distinctly physical element to it.
