While I agree with the sentiment that often awards ceremonies tend to ignore the type of hardwork and craft that can go into big action movies and think many people tend to get snotty about something that is INTENDED to have mass appeal...

I still wouldn't go overboard with it and say Force Awakens is undoubtedly a better movie. Nothing is ever that objectively true.
